I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
